#931 duplicate FYI - ietf-hotel very slow in Hilton Prague room 5014 creilly@… york@…
Description
NOC team,

The IETF network has been as awesome as usual on the main floor where the Hackathon is, but up in my room 5014 the performance has been very slow on "ietf-hotel". To the point where last night I had to leave my room (running into Joel along the way) and go down to the main floors to get on the "ietf" network instead.

I have tried multiple devices (Macbook Pro, iPhone) and the performance has been slow on both. I don't know if this is a feature of the fact that my room is just too far from the APs, but I thought I'd mention it. As the week gets underway this won't be a huge issue as I don't expect to be in my room much, but again, just thought you should know.

Thanks for all you do,
Dan

#985 forwarded to secretariat Unable to connect to jabber.ietf.org using a jabber.org account amorris@… york@…
Description
Hello NOC team,

I am unable to connect to any jabber.ietf.org<http://jabber.ietf.org> chatrooms using my "dyork@jabber.org<mailto:dyork@jabber.org>" Jabber account.

I *am* able to connect in using my "york@jabber.isoc.org<mailto:york@jabber.isoc.org>" account so it seems like the issue might be with jabber.org<http://jabber.org>.

I'm using Adium 1.5.10.2 on a Mac laptop running Yosemite (10.10.4). I also tried using the Psi client on my laptop. In both cases connections with my jabber.org<http://jabber.org> account would not connect.

In both cases I got a message that the remote server could not be found.

Dan

#1018 fixed Connectivity issues in Potsdam I panda@… york@…
Description
NOC team,

NO ACTION NEEDED - but I *was* having some connectivity issues in Potsdam I. I'm sitting over on the far left side next to the wall dividing the room from (I think) Potsdam III.

About 20 minutes ago (10:30-ish) I was not able to connect to any websites, get email, etc., while on "ietf" network.

I switched to "ietf-2.4ONLY" and also had issues there.

I switched back to "ietf" and then bizarrely I was able to get to websites using Chrome but not Firefox. I was able to download email... but couldn't connect on Skype or Slack. Jabber sort of worked... but then didn't... but then did.

I am back up in seeming full operation right now... but thought I would let you know.
