#1027 forwarded to secretariat Problem with charge from Conrad amorris@… MarkMcFadden@…
I just got a message indicating that the Conrad regarded me as a no show and is charging me the full price of the stay.

- I never had a reservation with the Conrad;
- I'm staying at the Courtyard at Times Square and I have a note from the Conrad acknowledging that fact;
- I expressed concern that the Conrad was asking for credit card details for the Marriott and they replied that they were processing both;
- I've never received any confirmation that I had any kind of reservation at the Conrad; and,
- I have no intention to pay A penalty for a reservation I never made.

Now the Conrad says that I should take this up with the conference organizers. Could you intervene on my behalf?

#80 pending DHCP issues??? bheight@… Michael StJohns <mstjohns@…>
Not sure exactly what's happening, but I seem to be having problems getting or renewing DHCP addresses on IPv4. This occurs regardless which AP I associate with. It can take me 5-10 minutes to get an address at times. Current issue occured while I was sitting down in the lobby bar.

#1014 fixed DHCP rob@… Michael.Bishop@…
Responding to the appeal to report any problems....

Had trouble getting an IP address on any of the IETF networks in Charlottenburg II/III for ~10 minutes at the beginning of this session. Tried refreshing, rebooting, etc. and never got any DHCP response until about 4 PM. Nothing more useful to add, though I've observed the same thing a couple other times this meeting.

Obviously, I'm online now, and presumably can stay that way for the duration of my DHCP lease.
