#1234 | wontfix | power adapter 12V to use for a few hours
Description |
Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I guess the NOC has lots of power devices ... I need to do some work in the terminal room with a device that has a 12 V Jack (2.5 mm, center positive). It consumes a bit less than 1 Amp. I did the mistake of bringing my own power adapter, but didn't realized that is only 220VAC 50 Hz. Just wondering if you have an alternative 12V adapter with the 2.5 mm jack (center positive). Another alternative is using a small 110 to 220VAC converter, but not sure how my adapter will react having 60Hz instead of 50 ... I'm in the terminal room, but can go to the NOC or whatever place is needed to pick up anything available. Thanks! |

#1285 | not broken | potential network lag in Congress 1
Description |
Here in the PEARG session we seem to have a few people noticing issues that are consistent with a slow network (the in-room meetecho video feed takes several seconds to update to the next slide after the main video feed changed slides, downloads are slow, the datatracker HTML agenda page is slow to load, etc. I captured some output: 64 bytes from 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq=33 ttl=55 time=5.20 ms 64 bytes from 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq=34 ttl=55 time=598 ms 64 bytes from 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq=35 ttl=55 time=111 ms 64 bytes from 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq=36 ttl=55 time=1899 ms 64 bytes from 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq=37 ttl=55 time=879 ms 64 bytes from 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq=38 ttl=55 time=36.8 ms [...] --- 8.8.8.8 ping statistics --- 100 packets transmitted, 100 received, 0% packet loss, time 282ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 2.028/48.132/1898.707/216.549 ms, pipe 2 kaduk@prolepsis:~$ ip addr [lo0] 25: wlp58s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 30:52:cb:e7:7c:45 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 31.133.149.39/20 brd 31.133.159.255 scope global dynamic noprefixroute wlp58s0 valid_lft 40561sec preferred_lft 40561sec inet6 2001:67c:1232:144:9f96:e9a0:3a6f:8de/64 scope global dynamic noprefixroute valid_lft 2591999sec preferred_lft 2591999sec inet6 fe80::95ba:c96b:d420:7871/64 scope link noprefixroute valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever -Ben |
