#1113 closed defect (fixed)

ESSIDs "ietf" and "ietf-nat64" no longer work for me → cannot associate

Reported by: Clemens Schrimpe Owned by: panda@…
Priority: tbd Milestone: ietf-099
Component: wireless Keywords: wireless ietf ietf-nat64
Cc: My Current Location: NOC (Vienna/Madrid)
My MAC Address: cc:20:e8:39:5c:21 My OS: iOS 10.3.2 (14F89)

as of this morning my iPhone 6S can no longer associate with said ESSIDs - attempts fail with an _immediate_ error (doesn't feel like a timeout).

I restarted the iPhone, but to no avail.

My Nexus 5X also had initial problems, but finally associated after a while when I left it alone on the table.

Associating with "manage" still works just fine as it ever did.

Thanks for reporting.

I assume that this issues is caused because our wireless LAN controller enforces the authentication of your device but the device tries to reuse the session. To solve the issue, Fast SSID change feature that allows devices to switch between SSIDs provided by our wireless LAN controller faster has been enabled. This feature keeps the session entry when a device switches SSIDs so that it can roam between SSIDs seamlessly.

Could you please try it again?

Thank you.
