Android connectivity check does not work on ietf-nat64

Reported by: suresh.krishnan@… Owned by: panda@…

I can successfully connect to the ietf-nat64 network but the android connectivity check does not work. It states “Internet may not be available”. If I persist and stay connected to the SSID, Internet connectivity actually works.

Asai -

Can you take a look? If this is a nat64 issue I will update and then add to the
issues wiki.

Thanks -

Hi Suresh,

Thank you for trying NAT64.

Let me clarify this issue. Did you kick out out from ietf-nat64 SSID? Or, did you just get the message "Internet may not be available" from your Android connectivity check tool but stay connected to ietf-nat64?

If the former, our infrastructure may have problems that cause this issue, then we need more investigation. Thus, can you please tell us your MAC address to look through the association and authentication log.

If the latter, the issue you reported is either an issue of the NAT64 implementation’s handling of that specific traffic or the given application vendor's implementation. We’re collecting all the issues that come up and will pass the reports back to the vendor at the end of the week. Hopefully this will lead to better implementations and greater functionality for the next meeting. If you’re curious about other known issues, please see

If you have additional input on this issue please update the ticket, if you see new issues please open additional tickets.

Thank you.

Suresh indicated that he's working with the Android devs on this during this morning's meeting. I'll add this to the NAT64 issues list at

Resolving, but a reply will reopen.
