Laptop can't connect to ietf-nat64

Reported by: mbishop@… Owned by: llynch@…
Priority: tbd Milestone: ietf-101
Component: incoming Keywords:
Cc: My Current Location: Palace 3
My MAC Address: F8-94-C2-66-2F-97 My OS: Windows 10 RS3

Description

My Win10 (RS3) laptop is able to connect successfully to:

  • ietf
  • ietf-hotel
  • ietf-2.4ONLY
  • ietf-v6ONLY
  • ietf-legacy101
  • ietf-nat64-unencrypted

However, it can't connect to ietf-nat64 successfully. I notice that the prompt for credentials looks different on that network than others, which might reflect some difference in the underlying authentication (or how Windows interprets that).

My (Android) phone connects to this network with apparently the same process as any of the other networks.

The ietf-nat64 SSID is served by the same controller and has the same admissions mechanism as ietf, ietf-2.4ONLY, and ietf-V6ONLY. If you're seeing different behavior, it's possible that you have some saved/cached configuration for that network. Could you check and clear anything you may have saved? If you can't find it, or need further assistance, please come to the help desk in the Terminal Room in Cadogan/Berkeley? on the Mezzanine level.

Good Luck!

Hm, apparently that was it. Now I'm wishing I'd dumped the WLAN profile before I did that, so I could compare the stored one to the one it generated doing a fresh connection.
