Intermittent connectivity from hotel room

Hi,

I'm having intermittent connectivity issues on IPv4 from my hotel room.
There are periods of time when many pings to known responding addresses
(e.g., 8.8.8.8) do not complete.

My room is Fairmont 1119, North Tower. I'm connecting via BSSID
74:91:1a:0d:4a:5a. Let me know if there's any additional info that would
be helpful.

Thank you Jim,

We are passing this on to the hotel staff. We have reported a few rooms that are having issues with the hotel's hardware.

Can you test the Fairmont SSID to verify that you have the same experience.

Connectivity seems fairly solid (so far) on the Fairmont network; 484/488 ping success. The BSSID I'm connected to now is 1c:3a:60:ea:96:7c.

(Just doing some administrative cleanup). We have some ongoing issues with the hotel and have scheduled a meeting later this morning. If you have further problems or data, feel free to update the ticket. Otherwise, we'll close this at some point if there are no more updates.

As you may be aware from Sean’s email to the 106all mailing list, we have had a number of issues with the hotel network. Changes have been implemented, and we believe the network is now stable (unfortunately without IPv6 service). So, I am going to close this ticket at this point. If you have additional issues you encounter, please feel free to reopen this ticket or create a new one (if the issues is sufficiently different). Thanks!

Mostly FYI at this point because I don't really need for this to be fixed, but I'm still experiencing significant packet loss (~7%) and very inconsistent ping times to 8.8.8.8 (from 2 msec to several hundred) while on the ietf-hotel network from my room. No similar issue on the Fairmont network, and that meets my needs for now but thought you should know of the issue.
