This is a ticket from the jabber scribe for the plenary about the wifi dropping. Just assigning for now.

Thanks for the report.

Can you tell me your MAC address?

Thanks.

Logan is the scribe. His location is in the middle section, close to the farthest mic from the stage where the speakers are. MAC address: 68:07:15:43:ee:23

Thank you for the information!

I've checked his association history from the log data, and found that Logan was on 2.4 GHz radio, which is known to be bad. He seemed to roam 5 GHz around at 5:42 pm, then I think he'd got good connectivity after that.

I recommend him to use ietf, which turns off 2.4 GHz radio, instead of ietf-legacy106 so that his device does not grab 2.4 GHz radio.

Thank you.

Hi, I'm closing this ticket as the problem was solved by switching to 5 GHz band and the plenary had ended.
Feel free to reopen a ticket if you have any problems.

Best,
Hirochika Asai
