Description (last modified by )
Hi there, I am using the SSID ietf.1x from a Macbook Air, Mac: 7c:6d:62:a5:56:12 . Twice now I have suddenly lost connectivity and have been unable to reach anything -- I still have full wireless signal (and have not been moving), but an unable to reach anything, including the default gateway.. Disconnecting and reconnecting has (so far) reliably) fixed the issue. Both time it was after a long time (around 1h) of everything working correctly. Don't know if it might be something like a session timeout or something... Please let me know of there is any other information that might be helpful to you... Warren -
Can you give us your location? Also, if this happens again, can you let
us know if you flop between APs?
Thanks -
- Lucy

I believe this may have been tied to the IESG meeting issue as we saw that behavior earlier in the IESG meeting room. I have not seen it again since we fixed the underlying issue.

Warren,
802.1X is a veritable warren of bugs... Sorry! Had to say it. Was trying to get in a word about our labyrinthine warren of rooms off of NOC and 802.1X associations, but have failed...
We have been making several changes to the network in the process of debugging the issues we've been seeing. We believe that the issues with the portal VLAN's are now resolved (apparently a Cisco bug where broadcast traffic doesn't transit some VLAN's in a trunk). Some of these changes may have dropped you off of the network for a bit.
I'd like to see if this is still happening for you. So, would you please let us know if this happens again to you?
Thanks.
Chis.

Great. Please feel free to bug us.
Chris.
Sure -- so far have been associated to the same AP for ~ 48 minutes and it's been perfect. I'll be sure to let you know if it goes > crazy, but lets assume it's all resolved for now...

It appears that this problem is either resolved or is happening infrequently enough to not be a real issue. Closing. Please feel free to reopen if this becomes an issue again.
Chris.
