#194 closed request (worksforme)

issue on ietf-a.1x?

Reported by: Robert Kisteleki <robert@…> Owned by: chelliot@…

Description (last modified by chelliot@…)

Upon arrival (around 11h today), I was unable to connect to the neeting
network ietf-a.1x. I tired twice, making sure there are no typos. I got back
a "password incorrect" error. Then I tried the ietf-a-portal network, and it
accepted me with the same name/password.

Username is random 8 character string, password is "ietf".

I'm using Mac OSX 10.6, works just fine, I have not had this issue on other
networks yet.

I don't have a problem now as I was able to connect eventually (through the
portal) but you might want to know this anyway.

Please go by the help desk in the back corner of the terminal room. They are well versed in MAC OS X issues.

By the way, most of the NOC has MACs, mostly on snow leopard (10.6), and most of us are using 802.1X authentication most of the time. We are having no problems, so we should be able to get you working fairly easily.

Please let me know how it goes as I'll leave this ticket open until you've had an opportunity to get it resolved.
