Description

Query from someone to the Help Desk. Does any one have set-up instructions for Linux?

I'm guessing it will depend greatly on the Linux distributions.

On Ubuntu

1) system -> administration -> printing
2) select new printer
3) select AppSocket?/HP JettDirect?
4) select host 'printer1.meeting.ietf.org' or 'printer2.meeting.ietf.org'
5) keep selecting forward untill complete and it should detect correctly and install the driver

The steps for Fedora Core 9/Gnome are pretty much the same,
note that you need to enter the root password to access the
printer setup tool
