Hi, No, I did not speak with the hotel technical support. I tried to work from my room yesterday (Sunday) evening, for the rest of the week I am out of my room from 8AM until 11PM, I do not have the time and energy to stay on line with support people at the expense of the few sleep hours. My laptop and my iPhone do not see any of the hotel networks on wireless, it looks to me as a wireless deployment problem indeed. Let me say that such a bad wireless access in the room at the main meeting hotel did not happen at any of the IETF meetings for many years. Luckily, wired Ethernet works, so at least I can connect my laptop. We have reached out to the hotel and requested that they change the power levels for some of their wireless hardware. Has your ability to connect to the WiFi? in your room improved at all?
