#702 closed request (forwarded to secretariat)

Jabber logs

Reported by: kivinen@… Owned by: amorris@…
Priority: tbd Milestone: ietf-089
Component: incoming Keywords:
Cc: My Current Location:

Description

The latest jabber logs at http://www.ietf.org/jabber/logs/ are missing
the user who said the things. I.e. if I check previous logs, like

http://www.ietf.org/jabber/logs/ipsecme/2010-11-10.txt

It has <speaker> before each line. If you look at the logs from this
session like:

http://www.ietf.org/jabber/logs/dnse/2014-03-04.txt

it has lines like:

[14:22:29] Do we have anyone remote
[14:22:31] ?
[14:22:37] matthijs joins the room
[14:22:39] yes :)
[14:22:41] Audio is working
[14:22:44] rstory joins the room
[14:22:53] audio is good

I.e. there is no way to know who said what.

I am not sure if this is local issue, or if it should be taken to the
tools team...

Does the fix only apply to new records, or also old ones? Looking at
some old records from this week (for example ipsecme, those seem to
still be missing names).

Unfortunately, the fix only applies to new logs - the ones that were impacted cannot be recovered. I apologize for the inconvenience.
