Description
Hi. I'm in v6ops trying to get into the jabber room as jabber scribe and finding myself unable to connect. Others are not able to get in either. Is there a problem with the IETF jabber server(s)? We are unable to replicate this issue. I am having no problem joining rtcweb jabber room, or any others. Ryan (AMS IT) is wondering if perhaps it was due to intermittent network issues?

Just to provide further data points... When I try to join "v6ops@jabber.ietf.org" from my "dyork@jabber.org" account using the Psi client, I get this message: Unable to join groupchat. Reason: Remote server not found. A remote server or service specified as part or all of the JID of the intended recipient does not exist. When I try to join using the same credentials from my Adium client, I get: 404: Remote Server Not Found Somewhat strangely, I *was* able to join "v6ops@jabber.ietf.org" from my "york@jabber.isoc.org" account using Apple's "Messages" client. However, when I then tried to join "rtcweb@jabber.ietf.org" from the same client, I got the error: Messages can't connect to the chat room "rtcweb@jabber.ietf.org" If you want me to test anything else I am glad to do so, Dan On 3/5/14 9:04 AM, "IETF Meeting/NOC" <tickets@meeting.ietf.org> wrote: >#704: Jabber server having problems? >---------------------------+--------------------------------- > Reporter: york@Š | Owner: amorris@Š > Type: request | Status: assigned > Priority: tbd | Milestone: ietf-89 > Component: incoming | Resolution: > Keywords: | My Current Location: >My MAC Address: | My OS: >---------------------------+--------------------------------- >Changes (by llynch@Š): > > * owner: llynch@Š => amorris@Š > * status: new => assigned > > >-- >Ticket URL: <https://tickets.meeting.ietf.org/ticket/704#comment:1> >IETF Meeting/NOC <https://tickets.meeting.ietf.org> >IETF Meeting - NOC pages

Alexa, I am now able to get in using "york@jabber.isoc.org" without any problems. I *can* now get in via "dyork@jabber.org", BUT, the connections seem to be read-only... I can't post to a chat room. So perhaps this is more of an issue with jabber.org ... which is also used by a good number of people here.
