#903 closed defect (fixed)

Unable to obtain IPv4 address using 'ietf' network

Reported by: rg+ietf@… Owned by: ralfvin@…
Priority: tbd Milestone: ietf-092
Component: network Keywords:
Cc: My Current Location:
My MAC Address: 70:56:81:8a:86:f5 My OS: OS X 10.6.8

Description

I'm in Venetian. If I connect to 'ietf' I obtain an IPv6 address but no IPv4 address nor usual DHCP info (e.g., router). If I connect to 'ietf-legacy' I do. This is on a Mac laptop running 10.6.8.

Please stop by the helpdesk in the terminal room (Brasserie) when you get a chance.

I managed to get it working by deleting all the
old 802.1X ietf Wi-Fi security configs in OS X's
settings, and creating a new one. Please close
the ticket. You might mention this as a step to
try in
https://tickets.meeting.ietf.org/wiki/IETF92network
unless you think it's unique to my laptop.
