#944 closed defect (fixed)

wifi network compromised?

Description

I just got a message that the ietf wifi network was compromised and is
being disabled for 1 minute. I'm on OS X. It appears this is a
standard OS message that appears when the encryption method is
changed. Everyone at my table in the IETF lounge was disconnected from
that network at the same time.

ietf-2.4ONLY appears to work normally still.

TKIP has been disabled throughout the IETF network. All encryption now uses AES, and the draconian measures that the WPA/TKIP standard require are no longer an issue.

I am closing this ticket. However, if you see this problem again please re-open this ticket.

And, of course, feel free to open another ticket if you have any network issues with the IETF network.

Thanks!
Chris.
