Description
In in-person conversations with David Conrad in the Lobby last night, he identified IPv6 reachability issues to www.ietf.org. Initial testing limited this to /some/ IPv6 sites (but not all), and only affected some of the subnets. IETF-Legacy and IETF were affected, management or server networks were not. These are all in the same /48 that we're advertising to all providers.

After debugging this morning, it became clear that the problem was actually in one of the Scout routers. Return traffic was coming in the IPLAN v6 path on the scout, and that scout's path back to legacy or ietf was via a down interface. Clemens removed the routes to the down interface, and service was resumed.
The ticket to Level(3) was waved off with thanks.
It looked like an external issue, so a ticket was sent to Level3
